Do you want to make a difference but don't know how? We're here to tell you that helping someone in need is easier that you could ever imagine. All it takes is a little of your time - only a minimum of one hour a week - to drastically change the life of one child in South Africa.

Welcome to Big Brothers Big Sisters South Africa (BBBSSA), a non-profit organisation dedicated to helping our country's children at risk. In essence, we are a mentoring programme that matches needy youths between the ages of 6 and 18 with carefully selected and trained adult volunteers. Over a period of one year, our volunteers - who we call "˜Bigs" - act as adult role models and mentors to their matched youths - who we call "Littles".

By volunteering for a minimum of just one hour a week, you can influence the life of one of these children forever, and give them hope for a better future by interacting with and supporting them through their tender years.
